I discovered yoga when I was attending St John Fisher College. What started as a way to work-out turned into a beautiful mindful practice and a firm connection with my spiritual self. My practice started with just a weekly class on campus but then I found myself visiting every single studio in Rochester. I finally found my people and I wanted to meet every yogi in the area! I have been practicing yoga for the past 15 years and in 2019 decided to attend yoga teacher training at Midtown Athletic Club.
For me, yoga is about listening to and understanding our bodies. My classes are a mixture of alignment cues and choices that will guide you through a practice that works for you. Expect to move and breathe at your own pace and have fun!
Vinyasa Flow Community Class
This class incorporates alignment and a vinyasa flow. We move and breathe, taking time to pause and feel; observe and adjust. Mindful movement is coupled with breath, and longer holds in poses are complimented with active alignment cues. This class is suitable for students newer to yoga as well as experienced students interested in a lower intensity flow.
